Dry verge is a roof tile sealing system designed to prevent water ingress from harsh weather such as rain from damaging the roof and the rest of your property.
It eliminates the use of mortar or wet verge, so dry verge can be installed regardless of the weather, and is less likely to warp or crack, thanks to its sturdy properties and being made from robust materials such as GRP and PVC. Securely fix your concrete interlocking tiles in place with the ease of dry verge units and dry verge end caps.
Dry verge is available as individual or continuous options, and is made of varying materials such as GRP and PVC, each with their own unique properties.
Continuous GRP verge is a singular piece of kit that doesn’t mean individual dry verge has to be fitted. This prevents any gaps being created and thus leaks and water penetration are kept to an absolute minimum. Its appearance is also very uniform and sleek, making your roof very visually appealing.
GRP stands for ‘glass reinforced plastic’. Made of glass fibres and plastic resin, it is resistant to weathering, making it perfect for roofing applications as they are normally prone to damage from wind, rain and UV. This waterproof material is extremely lightweight, so installing GRP continuous dry verge is easy. It is often used on bigger roofing projects and commercial buildings due to its robustness.
PVC stands for ‘polyvinyl chloride’. PVC continuous dry verge is mostly used on residential roofs, as it is durable and reliable. It is lightweight and easy to install, and more cost-effective than GRP verge as it is easy to manufacture.
Individual dry verge is named due to it being separate clips or units being installed over the edge of each of your roof tiles. Although there are more pieces to fit with individual dry verge, they are beneficial when it comes to more uneven roofs, that may not be completely uniform and would not be able to have a continuous dry verge fitted. Individual dry verge allows you more flexibility if your roof has irregularities, so waterproofing and weather proofing your roof has never had an easier solution!
Our dry verge kits are also available in a number of colour options, giving you the freedom to choose either a bold or subtle option for your home, and to perfectly match your existing tiles.
