Description

The vegetation in Wallbarn's M-Trays® is pre-grown to maturity in specially designed modules for approximately six months at their UK nursery. Wallbarn has developed its own substrate mix, which ensures considerable root growth within the tray. This means the plants are strong, healthy, and established and provide consistent cover over the intended area when delivered. Its unique design retains rainwater for longer and requires very little maintenance throughout the seasons, making it a hassle-free option.

The modules contain a carefully selected mixture of flowering sedum varieties, providing year-round greening and different textures and flowers throughout the summer. The modules are highly portable and clip together, making installation faster than roll-out systems. You can also install them without any specialist landscaping or roofing knowledge.

Before installation, you should lay a geotextile fleece under the trays to help prevent soil deposits from entering the drainage system. Wallbarn supplies a recycled geotextile fleece for this purpose.

Please note:

Pallets should be unloaded immediately after receipt to prevent damage to plants by extended periods spent stacked up.
Each tray weighs 20kg, but this will rise to 24kg when the tray is saturated with water.

Hello, is it possible to cut these to size if the roof is not quite a perfect square meter fit?

Answer:

You wouldn't cut the modules you would just fill the gaps with pebbles

We would like to use it for a balcony , can you walk on it ?

However, I would not have a party with everyone standing on it - This is also as long as your roof is strong enough.
