Description

For standard installation heights, you can install the brackets at the bottom and top of the window frame, level with the red line. Featuring a BFX underfelt collar, this VELUX flashing provides a weathertight finish with effective rainwater drainage as it is fitted between the roof covering and the window for a sleek appearance. With a BDX insulation collar, it helps to eliminate cold bridges and reduce heat loss by insulating around the roof window frame.

Answer:

You always need to add on 40-60mm to the width of the window and 45mm to the height when making your opening, this allows for a little adjustment room when fitting to ensure the window is square.

What flashing kit do I need for velux windows onto a centurion tile at 12..5 degree pitch

Answer:

Velux windows need to be installed at at least a 15° pitch to prevent them leaking. At a low pitch you can either use the system linked below.
