The VELUX EDLS FFKF06 2000 standard flashing kit has been designed to seamlessly integrate your VELUX GGLS 3-in-1 Roof Window into a slate roof covering up to 8mm in thickness. Each EDL 2000 flashing kit includes additional installation collars (BDX and BFX) to help you complete a more energy-efficient installation.

This 188cm x 118cm VELUX EDLS flashing kit is suitable for roof pitches between 15° and 90° and can also be used with flat roofing materials such as roofing felt and membranes. When installing a standard VELUX roof window flashing, install the brackets at the top and the bottom of the window frame at the red line level.

VELUX flashing kits provide a completely watertight seal between the roof window and roof covering. They also ensure safe and effective water drainage from your roof via the built-in guttering system.

Which installation products are included in the VELUX EDLS 2000 Slate Flashing Kit?

The easy-to-install VELUX BDX Insulation Collar insulates around the VELUX roof window frame, which reduces heat loss from your property and eliminates the risk of cold bridges. The VELUX BFX Underfelt Collar helps ensure a watertight seal between the roof and window, as well as minimising the risk of condensation.

Please note:

  • The EDLS 2000 flashing is not suitable for use on roofs with interlocking slates.
  • You are advised to remove leaves and other debris from your flashing at least once a year to allow rainwater to run freely from your VELUX window.
