Not only will your VELUX EDLS 2000 2-in-1 Roof Window Slate Flashing provide a seamless watertight seal between your roof covering and the window, but its built-in gutter channels also help to divert rainwater away from your window and into your roof gutter system below. As these channels can often become blocked by debris, such as leaves, it is recommended that you clear your flashings of obstructions annually.
When installing your VELUX EDLS roof window flashing, install the brackets at the top and the bottom of the window frame at the red line level. To determine the maximum profile of your roof covering, it needs to be measured from the top of the tile batten to the highest point of the tile.
Designed to reduce heat loss from your home and eradicate the risk of cold bridges from occurring, the VELUX BDX Insulation Collar insulates around the VELUX roof window frame and is incredibly easy to install. The VELUX BFX Underfelt Collar will provide a watertight seal between the roof and window and will also lessen the risk of condensation.
