From VELUX, this EDL 0000 standard slate flashing is one of several flashings designed by VELUX to suit your roofing materials. With an assortment of dimensions available, you can find the right slate flashing for your needs.

For creating a weatherproof, durable and watertight seal, this slate flashing is installed beneath the roofing materials for a discrete aesthetic. You can fit brackets at the top and the bottom of your window frame at the red line level for a standard installation height. This flashing works particularly well for installing a window into up to 8mm thick slate as well as membranes and roofing felt on roof pitches that vary between 15° and 90°.

Please note:

  • This flashing is not designed for use with interlocking slate. If this is required, please refer to EDW flashing for details.
  • Leaves and other debris should be removed from any flashing at least once a year to allow rainwater to run freely.

how do I measure the velux to get the right size flashing kit

Answer:

The flashing should match the code of the window....eg....GGL MK04 2070.....EDL MK04 2000

Question:

can I use this flashing with Redland Cambrian slates

Answer:

Technically, the Cambrian is interlocking so I would say no. However please check with Velux on 01592778225 

Question:

Is this suitable for a GPL top hung velux

Answer:

Flashing isn't affected by the windows type, only by whats on the roof ie slate, plain tiles or interlocking

Question:

Can I use this flashing on a concrete interlocking tile 35mm thick?

Answer:

The EDW covers all interlocking tiles

Question:

Would this kit be suitable for Onduline felt shingles?

Answer:

Velux doesn't make a flashing for the corrugated profile. I would use a ZWC and then dress the window on-site with lead
