The mortar free, all-weather IDV system provides improved design features and aesthetic appeal than other options on the market.The Verge System What makes the Hambleside Danelaw dry verge system different is the attention to detail. As with all our roofing products, it is quick and easy to install. The sculptured design gives style to the finished look, while numerous subtle details deliver performance and minimise water staining from rainwater run-off.
The system is designed to provide clearance for the installation of guttering and the ridge end caps are universal designs with integral closures to suit either half-round or angle ridge tiles of most commonly available ridge tile types.
A more curved design gives continuity to the finished look, while the tapered base edge creates a visual straight-line effect for a neat finish. Plus, the shaping of the unit minimises water run-off, routing rainwater to drip off rather than run down the gable end, reducing water staining.
The batten gauge of the dry verge system can cope with anything from 260mm to 355mm - the largest range variation in the market.
The clip-on system is super quick and easy to install. The starter unit has a cut out section to allow for guttering whilst closing off the verge to prevent small animals hiding in the roof. The starter units and batten end clips also give greater fixing security and no extra pieces are needed to finish the end cap detail. Being dry fix, it avoids the use of an undercloak and all of the problems associated with mortar use - plus you can fit it whatever the weather.
