When first introduced in 1995, this Ultimate Flue Outlet (UFO) was the first gas chimney cowl in the UK to pass the extensive requirements of BS7 15:1993 (200mm). Its ever-advancing market share is proof of its vast advantages, benefits and superior anti-downdraught properties compared to other cowls.
This UFO MKII cowl integrates four adjustable upstands with a simple adjustment that deals with the need for a greater area of exhaust required by solid fuel use. Its compact design ensures it can be used on multiple pots within the same stack without modification. This is something that alternative cowls cannot attain. Fully assembled, including a factory-fitted bird guard, this chimney cowl is ready to use on gas systems.
Designed to fit pots and flues between 150mm and 240mm (6" to 9.5") internal diameters, this UFO cowl withstands temperatures up to 200°C. Manufactured from a 1.2mm thick high-grade aluminium alloy powder coated finish with a stainless steel high-security strap and leg fixing, it is suitable for use on gas systems including gas boilers, vertical flues, coal and log effect gas fires, Radiant Gas fires and more. It has also been performance tested for use on oil appliances.
