Description

When first established in 1995, this Ultimate Flue Outlet (UFO) was the first gas chimney cowl in the UK to pass the rigorous requirements of BS7 15:1993 (200mm). Its ever-expanding market share is evidence of its advanced anti-downdraught qualities, benefits and advantages compared to alternative cowls. The black colour has been applied to help it stand out from the classic chimney design.

Incorporating four adjustable upstands with a simple adjustment to address the need for a larger exhaust area required when using solid fuels, this UFO MKII has a compact design that ensures it can be utilised on numerous pots on the same stack without modification. This cannot be obtained by other cowls. Completely assembled and featuring a factory-fitted birdguard, this chimney cowl is ready for use on gas systems such as Radiant Gas fires, gas boilers, coal and log effect gas fires, vertical flues and more.

  • Manufactured from 1.2mm thick high-grade aluminium alloy power coated finish
  • Withstands temperatures up to 200°C

Created to fit flues and pots from 150mm up to 240mm (6" to 9.5") internal diameter, this UFO MKII cowl can withstand temperatures to a maximum of 200°C. With a stainless steel high-security strap and leg fixing and made from a 1.2mm thick high-grade aluminium alloy powder coated finish, it has also been performance tested for use on oil appliances.

  • Tested and certified to: BS715-1993 and BSEN1856-1 2003
  • Meets requirements of: BSEN1443-2003

Please note:

  • When this UFO MKII is used on a solid fuel system, the gas bird-guard must be removed.
