Find out moreManufactured from a modified polyethin compound with an aluminium mesh reinforcement, this Ubiflex flashing from Ubbink is an ideal alternative to lead. It can be used in all applications where lead is traditionally fitted, such as dormers, rooflights and solar panels, pitched valley lining, chimney flashings, abutment flashings and stepped flashings, making it an extremely versatile solution. Recyclable, non-toxic and environmentally friendly, Ubiflex has no re-sale value as scrap, so it's less prone to theft.
A remarkable 80% lighter and 50% quicker to fix than lead, Ubiflex ensures health and safety as well as structural and handling benefits. It's completely malleable and self-sealing if punctured, and it can be worked in both directions. Unaffected by thermal movement, Ubiflex enables aprons up to 12m in length to be formed without expansion joints or seams, which means less wastage than with traditional materials.
