No, you should be able to connect directly to it

The vent is at the bottom of the top section so should hold up to driving rain

No this is for extraction only - you will need to check with Ubbink for an MVHR unit vent as well don't have any listed 01604 433000

Is the vent covered at the top? I'm installing an extractor hood that recommends 150mm diameter ducting. The hood will be directly below the ub47 and I'm worried that rain water will get in through the ducting. Also is there a condensation drainage solution that you do for any vapour that trickles down?

This is covered at the top, and the vents do feature condensation traps to drain away.

Yes - the base comes complete with a Ubiflex flashing to suit.

Yes as long as the fan ducting has a diameter of 150mm as this is the diameter of this unit.

Is the Ducting Diameter 150mm? I am planing to use it with standard kitchen extractor Fan ?

Answer:

This unit is to suit 150mm ducting, it's suitability all depends on what size ducting you need to fix onto it. Most kitchen fans are 110mm so worth checking the one you have before purchasing.
