With its remarkable water resistance surpassing the W1 (1.5m water head) standard, even after ageing, you can trust that your building will remain protected. You can count on this DuPont Tyvek StructureGuard Membrane for its long-lasting durability and UV resistance, meticulously tested for four months of UV exposure. No matter the construction, commercial or residential, this versatile membrane is suitable for all types of wall structures.
With its lightweight, flexible and robust composition, this DuPont Tyvek Structure Guard is easy to handle on-site and install. When fixing the membrane to timber studs/sheeting, secure it using stainless steel staples or corrosion-resistant nails. Maintain a maximum spacing of 300mm vertically and 600mm horizontally. For joints and openings, fix the membrane at a maximum of 150mm intervals.
When fixing it to insulation, attach the Tyvek StructureGuard to rigid insulation using a specialised expanding insulation fixing anchor. In cladding applications, timber battens or metal brackets can also be employed to secure the membrane. When fixing to steelwork, fasten the Tyvek StructureGuard to the structure with an appropriate fixing system, such as a 25mm Steel Framing Screw with an EPDM rubber washer. When fixing it to masonry, secure it to the surface using an anchor fixing system or masonry nails and EPDM rubber washers.
