Suntile Basic Kits can be used to direct light from outside into your space by installing the Suntile into an angled ceiling. With all components manufactured in the UK, Suntiles come in kit form to make installation as easy as possible. No need to worry about if you’ve got all of the parts or if you’ve bought the correct ones because these kits make it simple.
• A Suntile.
• Flashings.
• 340mm mirror ducting.
• Ceiling diffuser (made from UV stabilised ABS plastic).
• All fixtures and fittings needed, including fixing screws, diagrams and installation instructions.
Suntiles take as little as half an hour to install and can be installed in both pitched roofs and flat roofs. For installation in rooms with ceilings you need ducting. The ducting fits easily between rafters and it’s fully adjustable to get the exact length between the Suntile and the space you’re trying to light. It’s the perfect system for corridors, ensuites and studies where installing a window isn’t a possibility.
Manufactured from clear polycarbonate, Suntiles are discrete and the sleek ceiling diffuser on extended pitched roof kits means that the interior is unobtrusive and attractive. Similarly, on the outside of your roof the Suntile blends seamlessly into the roofline, hardly visible from the ground looking up.
Suntiles can be installed in roofs adorned in both natural and man-made slate as well as concrete slate tiles, concrete double pantiles, concrete double roman tiles, clay double roman tiles, square profile tiles and plain tiles.
A Basic Kit is the best starting point for all applications and this can be installed on its own in loft voids and garages. If you’re installing a Suntile in a pitched or flat roof where the light needs to travel through the roof space to get to your desired room, you’ll also need to purchase the Short Extension or Long Extension kit, dependent on the distance between your roof and the ceiling. These kits come with adjustable ducting so you can channel the light to where you need it through any amount of roof space.
The Basic Kit is the most common choice for an angled ceiling loft conversion and for spaces without ceilings where there’s no roof space or void to be crossed, a Quick Kit is available.
