Unlike slate, which demands time, complexity, and expense to install, the Rivius is a large format, convenient and cost-effective solution. The interlocking clay tile eliminates the need for double lapping, thanks to its design.

A practical and affordable choice for various projects, including self-build and social housing projects where the appearance of slate is desired but unattainable, the Rivius is crafted with precision using bespoke moulds from imprints of Welsh slate. This provides the intricate details and authentic texture of natural slate.

An open gauge product that maintains an authentic slate appearance, approximately 50% more cost-effective than natural slate, it is also 10% larger and 10% lighter with a colour that remains unfading.

Providing a coverage of 9.5 tiles per m², this tile suits a minimum headlap of 75mm and a maximum of 120mm, with batten spacing of 298mm to 343mm.
