Find out moreSamac's 95gsm Rooftec Breathable Membrane offers outstanding resistance to extreme temperatures and is laboratory quality controlled to guarantee reliability. With its airtight and vapour-permeable design, it allows for excellent air circulation to prevent any build-up of moisture within the roofing structure.
Versatile enough to work in both warm and cold roofing applications, it can be used in Scottish sarking boards, timber-framed or metal-framed constructions. Perfect for use where the ceiling is well-sealed and the roof ridge height is not greater than 15 metres, it is also suitable for applications at on-site altitudes not exceeding 100m above sea level and can also be used in areas with no significant site topography present.
Installing your Rooftec Membrane is straightforward and hassle-free. Simply place it directly over the rafters on the insulating material, stretching it horizontally over the entire roof surface. The overlap at the ridge should be at least 20cm, and the membrane sheeting should overlap by 15cm along the red guideline. For pitches under 22°, ensure an overlap of at least 20cm.
Any seams, overlaps, butt joints or damage to the membrane can be easily masked with Samac's membrane adhesive tape. Connections to other substrates, such as masonry, should be made using silicon or self-adhesive butyl tapes.
