Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) is a highly tough and robust material that has seven times the flexural strength of steel, yet it has excellent flexibility and is incredibly lightweight. With high energy absorption qualities, GRP is resistant to impact with minimal maintenance requirements.
Tried and tested, GRP roofing technology has been widely utilised for the refurbishment of new and existing roofs by major building contractors, roof contractors, local authorities and architects throughout the UK. Fabricated to provide great wet out when applying to fibreglass matting, Roofing Resin, once cured, has outstanding flexible properties that are needed for GRP flat roofs. The UV Resistant Grey Roofing Topcoat has been manufactured to ensure your roof is protected from all the elements of weather your roofing might face, with superb flow-out characteristics making it effortless to apply with either a brush or polyester roller.
To allow both the Topcoat and Resin to cure/set, you will need an additional hardener/catalyst. This methyl ethyl ketone liquid (MEKP) will be required to be added at a rate of between 1% and 4% by weight, dependent on weather conditions.
