Replacing Redland's renowned range of thin leading-edge slates was a challenging task. However, the Richmond, Saxon and Landmark Slates were successfully introduced as a new generation of concrete slates over three decades ago, with Richmond leading the way. The Slate 10 range not only maintains the practicality and appearance of the original Redland range but also enhances them, ensuring superior performance and aesthetics. By lowering the minimum pitches, implementing a unique single nail fixing system and eliminating the need for eaves or top slates, their value and convenience have been significantly increased.
With a minimum pitch requirement of 17.5°, the Saxon range enables the creation of high-quality and distinctive roof designs. These half-slate tiles are available in two vibrant colours, traditional Black or authentic Blue. The Saxon 10 Blue perfectly replicates the blue-grey slate found in the heart of Snowdonia, while the Black variant closely resembles the black-grey slate of Scotland. Exclusively offered within the Redland range, they boast a premium paint finish, ensuring a consistent and striking roofscape.
For a secure installation, using 45mm x 3mm aluminium alloy stainless steel annular nails or 45mm x 3.35mm ring-shank nails are recommended.
