Find out moreSpecially created using a distinct manufacturing process tailored to Redland's bespoke production line, this Rosemary Clay Craftsman eaves tile is designed for use at the eaves as an under-course and at top courses and edges as an over-course to coordinate with Rosemary Clay Craftsman Tiles.
2014 celebrated the 175th anniversary of the very first Rosemary tile to be sold on the UK market. Since then, Rosemary clay tiles have become inseparable from Britain's iconic architectural style. The Hawkhurst and Albury variants feature a stunning orange-red sanded finish across the surface with random black patterns that mimic the appearance of weathered tiles. The latest addition to the range, the Victorian tile, boasts a darker and grittier texture compared to the original shades, giving your roof a greater depth of unique character.
Every Rosemary Craftsman tile showcases a textured surface and underside, complemented by textured sides and a front edge that exudes authenticity. You'll also notice the charming irregular front edge distortion and varying hanging length, all made to perfectly replicate the look of handcrafted clay tiles. With a traditional aesthetic, it also possesses the durability and strength of brand-new tiles.
For a secure installation, maintain a minimum headlap of 65mm below 90° and 35mm at 90°. Aim for a maximum headlap of 88mm. For the gauge per batten spacing, adhere to a minimum of 88mm and a maximum of 100mm below 90° and 115mm at 90°. Below 90°, the tiles achieve coverage of 60 tiles per square metre, while at 90°, you will get 52 tiles per square metre. To support your installation, utilise batten sizes of 38mm x 25mm for rafter centres up to 600mm. Plan for a requirement of 10 metres of battens per square metre below 90° and 8.7 metres per square metre at 90°. Secure your tiles using 40mm x 2.65mm aluminium alloy nails.
