Suitable for fixing with 50mm x 3.35mm sized nails, it has a minimum pitch requirement of just 17.5° with a 100mm headlap or 22.5° with a 75mm headlap and can be laid on pitches as steep as 90°. The slate's gauge parameters vary, with a minimum gauge of 293mm and a maximum gauge of 318mm for pitches below 22.5° and 343mm for pitches of 22.5° and over.
When it comes to coverage, you can expect approximately 10.7 slates per square metre using a 318mm gauge or 9.9 slates per square metre with a 343mm gauge. To support the installation, the Mini Stonewold slates require batten sizes of either 38mm x 25mm for rafter centres up to 450mm or 50mm x 25mm for rafter centres up to 600mm. The installation requires approximately 3.15 metres of battens per square metre with a 318mm gauge or 2.92 metres per square metre with a 343mm gauge.
