Boasting a low pitch and a wide array of captivating colours, this Grovebury tile is an ideal choice for both new construction and renovation projects. With two distinct surface textures, it caters to diverse aesthetic preferences, ensuring a popular and stylish selection.
To ensure optimal performance, Redland offers specific guidelines for pitch requirements. For a smooth, through-coloured surface, a minimum pitch of 15° with a 100mm headlap and 17.5° minimum with a 75mm headlap is recommended. The maximum pitch is 90°, subject to the provided fixing specification. The maximum headlap specification measures 125mm. The Grovebury tiles require a minimum gauge of 293mm and a maximum gauge of 318mm for pitches below 17.5°, while pitches at or above 17.5° can accommodate a gauge of up to 343mm.
With a gauge of 318mm, the coverage is 10.5 tiles per square metre, and with a gauge of 343mm, it amounts to 9.7 tiles per square metre. For the installation of Grovebury tiles, appropriate battens are essential. Rafter centres up to 450mm require battens sized at 38mm x 25mm, while rafter centres up to 600mm necessitate battens sized at 50mm x 25mm. Depending on the gauge chosen, the required amount of battens per square metre varies: 3.15 metres for a 318mm gauge and 2.92 metres for a 343mm gauge.
