Find out moreOffering a convenient solution for those working with Stonewold II Slates, this Redland Ambi-Dry Verge comes in a pack of ten. This innovative system ensures a tidy and secure finish without the need for mortar or undercloak, streamlining the installation process.
During installation, all battens must overhang the bargeboard, brickwork or cladding with a 50mm overhang. At the eaves, employing an Eaves Stop End not only keeps water out but also serves as the anchor point for the clip. Ensuring a robust hold, each Ambi-Dry Verge Unit is fastened at the head with a verge clip and lugs that fit into the unit's channels along its length.
For situations such as top edge abutment, integrating a lead flashing over the top verge unit is recommended, with the length of the flashing contingent on the rafter pitch. Moreover, at the ridge, the use of a Ridge Comb Closer effectively bars the entry of birds.
If timber sarking is part of the roofing setup, make sure the tiling battens rest directly on the outermost brickwork or cladding, accommodating 25mm thick batten exclusively. Specifically designed for Stonewold II Slates, the Ambi-Dry Verge units are easily secured using the included Verge Clips.
