Suitable for all insulated building constructions, it makes a particularly good choice for industrial buildings with metal profile cladding, educational buildings, and commercial properties.
To achieve a completely airtight seal and let Novia membranes function properly, it is essential to have this membrane professionally installed alongside the two-tape sealing system. This ensures that desired building design outcomes are met and prevents condensation problems, which often occur in finished buildings due to poor installation or incorrect tapes.
In all wall, roof, or floor insulated frame applications, it is important to install VCLs on the warm side (inside). They are typically used with Novia external breather membranes which are on the cold side (outside). For optimal installation, all Novia VCL products should be completely sealed to the structure using double-sided butyl tapes along with either foil or BOPP lap tapes. The wider the tape used, the stronger the final seal will be, making installation easier. Pick a tape based on your specific application and budget.
