Ideal for a range of new and renovated applications demanding resilient surfaces with smooth, waterproof finishes, this internal flooring-grade mastic asphalt from Roofing Superstore is a prime choice. The half-tonne pallet, when applied at 20mm thickness, is estimated to cover approximately 10m², making it particularly well-suited for smaller projects.
Crafted from a combination of suitably graded limestone aggregates and asphaltic cement (refined bitumen), this mastic asphalt is characterised by its density and void-free composition. Contemporary formulations of mastic asphalt incorporate advanced polymers, pioneered by manufacturers like Permanite. Due to its non-compactable nature, the material is best applied using a hand float, as it cannot be compacted or rolled.
