Find out moreThis 420mm x 330mm Wessex interlocking concrete tile from Marley showcases a sleek and uncomplicated design with clean lines, making it an ideal choice for minimalist aesthetics. Specifically engineered to effectively shed water even at low pitches of 15°, this tile is great for low-profile roofing projects.
The concrete interlocking tiles present a contemporary alternative to traditional plain tiles and are highly regarded for their seamless and polished look. Concrete interlocking tiles boast several advantages, including reduced environmental impact, a simplified installation process, and a more budget-friendly yet long-lasting option.
With a thickness of 29mm (nominal), these tiles provide optimal performance with a minimum roof headlap of 75mm and a maximum roof gauge of 345mm. They have a net roof covering capacity of 9.7 tiles per square metre at a 75mm headlap or 10.5 tiles per square metre at a 100mm headlap. When employing a 75mm headlap, the approximate weight of the tiling is 50kg/m² (0.449N/m²), and for a 100mm headlap it is 53kg/m² (0.52kN/m²).
Per net roof, you will require 2.9 linear metres of battens per square metre at a 75mm headlap, or 3.1 linear metres at a 100mm headlap. It is recommended to employ 38mm x 25mm battens (fixed to BS 5534) when the rafter/supports do not exceed 450mm centres. If you have larger rafter/supports that do not surpass 600mm centres, you can opt for 50mm x 25mm battens (fixed to BS 5534).
