A smooth surface and square cut edges give a low profile slate at an economical price, particularly suitable to complex roof geometries down to 15°.
This market leading fibre cement slate offers superb aesthetics and with their light weight, low wastage, design flexibility and easy of installation, it's easy to see why they are the choice for all types of new build and refurbishment projects.
Used on a variety of applications, Thrutones provide the flexibility to create inspirational roofs and facades, examples include Canon Popham School in Sheffield and the stunning curved roof of the Cavell Centre in Peterborough.

Notes
Fibre cement slates meet the strength requirements of BS EN 492, achieving an average bending moment greater than 50Nm/m (Class B).
The slates also have a minimum density of 1700kg/m³ and a nominal thickness of 4mm.
The batch code printed onto the underside of the slates is in the following format:
Example: NT UG21WB 24/11/11 12.10 CE.
NT = Type of Product (ie. Non asbestos technology).
UG21 = Product code.
W = Manufacturing plant ID.
B = Class (for bending moment).
24/11/11 = Date of manufacture.
12.10 = Time of manufacture.
CE = CE Mark.
The effectiveness of the tile or slate to operate at the minimum recommended pitch and lap may be influenced by special circumstances.
Guidance on pitch and lap should be obtained from the Technical Advisory Service for the following:
• Interlocking tiles and slates where the roof slope exceeds 6 metres in length and/or the site is rated to be in a severe exposure category.
• Double-lap fibre cement slates where the roof slope exceeds 6 metres in length (severe/very severe exposure) and 9 metres in length (sheltered/moderate exposure).
Consideration should be given to sealing any cut edges to prevent potential efflorescence staining.
