Suitable for ventilating cavity walls and draining lintels and cavity trays, this weep vent from Manthorpe can be inserted between two bricks and mortared into place. It offers an unobtrusive ventilation point for the cavity behind.
Featuring a baffled grille to stop the ingress of driving wind and rain, this weep vent integrates a drip lip and insect grille. The grille is wide enough that it will not be blocked by water droplets, paint or debris but small enough to keep large insects out.
When used with the Manthorpe range of catchment trays, this weep tray should be positioned in the furthest corner away from the finished roof line. It should be spread out at no bigger than 900mm centres to meet N.H.B.C. guidelines, which assert that weep holes should be sited at every 450mm maximum with at least two per opening above all doors and windows.
