Manufactured using powder-coated galvanised steel with 0.6mm thickness, this hopper has been carefully developed to pair with pre-coated material. So there is no contrast in design when it comes to fitting full systems together. Moreover, by opting for steel, this is a lighter material than cast iron and easier to handle than aluminium. It also offers minimal thermal movement compared to plastic which is at risk of moving and cracking which can cause leaks.
Steel also has the lowest CO2 impact of competing materials. Tested and proven, the Rainline range of steel systems reflects the lowest cradle-to-grave impact. This is made possible by minimising the use of raw materials, components, energy, packaging and transport. The material is also highly resistant to attack from vandals and can be fixed flush to a wall; preventing anyone from climbing up the downpipe. With occasional maintenance being a wipe or wash down when the need arises.
The installation itself is a smooth assembly, with a guaranteed long service life. The cost of materials being very effective when priced against leading plastic materials, aluminium and cast iron.
