Find out moreUnfaced, as well as odourless, rot-proof, and non-hygroscopic, these DriTherm® 37 Cavity Slabs are crafted from glass mineral wool and compatible with external full-fill masonry cavity walls. Not only do they offer excellent thermal performance, but they are sized to fit between wall ties without requiring retaining discs. They are also lightweight, making for straightforward handling, fitting and cutting when needed.
Rated as Euroclass A1 and non-combustible, these slabs eliminate the need for cavity barriers as they decrease the risk of fire spreading. With Knauf Insulation's innovative ECOSE® Technology, which uses a bio-based binder, slabs are designed to not sustain vermin or allow the growth of fungi, mould, and bacteria. They also do not transmit moisture from below the damp proof course level, through capillary action across the cavity, or transfer water to the inner leaf according to BBA testing.
These slabs are compatible with buildings in any exposure zone, including harsh areas as they are BBA-certified. They can used in structures up to 12m in height and multi-storey buildings up to 25m tall if they meet the BBA certification criteria.
Supplied in recyclable polythene packs (4-LDPE), short-term protection is provided. Compared to rigid boards and other insulating materials, the DriTherm® Cavity Slabs have an installation process that is far simpler. This is due to the fact that they adapt to minor irregularities and knit together so that air gaps are eliminated, which optimises performance.
