Find out moreOffering an exceptional insulation solution for your external masonry cavity walls, these DriTherm® Cavity Slabs 37 are manufactured from water-repellent glass mineral wool. Delivering premium thermal performance, they are ideal for full-fill cavity walls. Being non-combustible and entirely filling the cavity, they minimise the risk of fire spreading, avoiding the need for cavity barriers.
With the highest rating of Euroclass A1 for reaction to fire, these Knauf DriTherm® Slabs feature environmentally friendly ECOSE® Technology, which employs a unique bio-based binder. They fit perfectly between wall ties, removing the need for retaining discs.
Suitable for use in properties up to 12m high in any exposure zone and multi-storey applications up to 25m tall, these slabs have certification from the BBA (British Board of Agrément) for all exposure zones, including very severe environments. They will not allow water transmission to the inner leaf, nor will they transmit moisture across the cavity or below the damp proof course level.
Unlike rigid boards, these DriTherm® Cavity Slabs are straightforward to install and can mould to the substrate's minor imperfections, interlocking to prevent any air gaps, resulting in optimal performance. They are lightweight, simple to handle and can be cut to size with ease. They are also non-hygroscopic, rot-proof and odourless, impervious to mould, bacteria or fungi growth and will not sustain a vermin infestation. For short-term protection, they come in polythene packs.
