This product is compatible with use in a variety of settings, including being laid over ceilings, suspended between timber floor joists, or fitted in metal and timber wall stud partitions. Certain applications and build ups, such as in a single frame partition wall, allow an even greater sound reduction. When installed in a single frame partition wall with 70mm acoustic metal studs, resilient bars, and two layers of staggered acoustic plasterboard on each side, it can achieve an impressive 50-decibel reduction in airborne noise.
Crafted from mineral wool and an acoustic membrane, the two layers of 25mm mineral wool sandwich the 2mm acoustic barrier. Impressive soundproofing qualities can be attained due to the acoustic barrier, with the mineral wool elevating the overall performance being that it has high levels of sound absorption.
Easy to fit, this roll features a 1200mm width and provides 6m² of coverage.
