Find out moreThese Kooltherm K118 Insulated Plasterboards from Kingspan are a high-quality lower lambda internal wall insulation solution. Their front surface comprises a 12.5mm thick plasterboard, while the reverse surface has a composite foil-based facing.
Suitable for dry-lining that is either plaster dab/adhesive bonded or mechanically fixed, this Kingspan Kooltherm Insulation has a fibre-free core manufactured from a premium performance rigid thermoset modified resin insulant, with a blowing agent that has low Global Warming Potential (GWP) and zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP).
When installing these Kooltherm Insulated Plasterboards, you should secure them with drywall screws. In solid wall applications, they can be affixed to either metal studs or timber battens with a maximum spacing of 600mm centres. To provide additional support, noggins should be utilised to reinforce any board edges in roof and wall applications. If you're worried about dampness in walls, you should attach strips of DPC behind the battens. It is also essential to ensure there's a 25mm penetration for fixings. Additionally, the fixings must be situated no less than 10mm from the board edges.
Made to the highest standards, this Kingspan Kooltherm Insulation has been certified under a management system and produced at Kingspan Insulation's Castleblayney manufacturing facility, which is covered by NSAI Agrément.
