Constructed from 99% recycled and re-engineered mineral-reinforced materials, IKOslate is a composite roof slate with remarkable strength and easy installation due to its unique, lightweight structure. IKOslate is similar in appearance to natural slate and is formed using moulds of quarried slates. This results in various textures and patterns that are accentuated by an authentic Slate Grey finish. With IKOslate, both experienced roofers and contractors with limited roofing expertise can effortlessly deliver sustainable roofs with the timeless charm of slate, all while saving time and costs compared to previous methods.
Due to the fragility and brittleness of natural slate, it is common practice to order an excess amount to accommodate breakage during transportation, storage, and installation. By utilising IKOslate, you can avoid the additional expenses as it allows for precise ordering. Every pack includes the number of tiles to cover 1.5 square metres with a 180mm exposure.
With tested protection against the elements, IKOslate is fire rated to EXT.F.AA by British Standards and certified to endure wind and wind-driven rain over 110mph. The slate also has proven resistance to fungicidal and microbial growth, airborne chemicals and pollutants, and has passed a 4,500 hours accelerated arc zenon test for colour-fastness and UV resistance.

It does not have a set guarantee on colour but is tested and Passed 4,500 hours accelerated arc Zenon test for colour-fastness and UV resistance.
