You would not normally use an underlay with this shed felt, this would be your sole membrane on the shed roof. You could also use a roof felt adhesive to fix it.

I am in the middle of extending my sons workshop which was 8mtrs long its now 12mtrs long as i intend to use felt .I notice that rolls only come in 8mtr lengths is it ok to join on the ends with adhesive and stagger the joints.

Yes you can overlap roofing felt not a problem, just make sure you leave a suitable adhesive/sealant under the lap and overlap at least 200mm.

Do you need to apply a roofing felt adhesive ( such as Black Jack 904) onto a wooden shed roof, covering the full area of roof, prior to applying the IKO Super Shed Roofing Felt...and then also nail down with galv. clout headed nails?
Answer:
You do not have to use adhesive it is fine to apply it with just nails, but if you were looking for a longer lasting more secure application then adhesive along with nails will provide a better overall installation.
