Find out moreSpecially designed for use in warm roof constructions, these high-performance HeliFix InSkew 600 stainless steel fixings can be power or hammer driven and secured through battens, insulation and timber counter battens, without impacting its thermal qualities and into the rafters.
With a self-tapping design producing outstanding holding power in both compression and tension, these InSkew fixings are more economical than traditional nails, due to far fewer being required, and more structurally reliable thanks to their helical profile. These stainless steel fixings reduce heat loss while retaining heat gain and eliminating the lagging of tanks and pipes. Producing a Room-in-a-Roof space, these fixings ensure no cold bridging and a reduction of running costs while roof tile ventilation is no longer needed. They also provide protection against corrosion and damp.
Since the publication of Building Regulations Part L, 2006, the uValues for pitched warm roofs, where the insulation is above the rafter, are between 0.18 and 0.20W/m²K. Warm roofs that have been constructed using InSkews are used to maximise living space and have demonstrated compliance with these latest Part L Building Regulations.
