Find out moreThis 450mm Universal Club Crested Angle Ridge with a Terracotta finish is suitable for roof pitches between 18° and 37°. Containing sand, Portland cement, pigment and glass fibres, it is made from a cement-based material, reinforced with glass fibres and coated with water-based paint. This ensures that it is uniform yet highly robust and strong.
This ridge is simple to wet fix. By finding the special short slates' top course, you can ensure the required ridge cover has been provided. If you are utilising a socketed ridge, locate and position overlapping sockets away from prevalent weather. Solid bed all the ridge tile joints and edge bed all the ridges in mortar. Finalise the bedding and pointing neatly. The mortar should include three parts sharp sand and one part Portland cement.
To improve the bond between the mortar and the ridge, mix the cement with a proprietary bonding agent and apply it to the ridge's underside. Further mechanical fixings should be utilised as needed and in accordance with the current codes of practice and to BS 5534 Part 1. 2003. Solid bed at the end of the end ridge tile. Fix, where required, a suitable hip iron into the base of the hip rafter. To align with the eaves, cut the bottom hip tile. Finish pointing and bedding precisely.
