Description

All SL8® tiles are factory blended to limit the chance of colour batching variations. Available in various traditional colours, the SL8® range has an option for all projects requiring a classic slate roof appearance. Forticrete has also designed the SL8® with a leading edge that is 50% thinner than alternative large format tiles on the market, making it a much closer imitation of natural slate.

Whereas alternative tiles on the market generally offer coverage of ten tiles per square metre, the SL8® boasts a superior coverage of just eight tiles per square metre. This means a 20% reduction in the number of tiles used, resulting in fewer tiles to handle and lay, meaning installation can be completed much quicker and more efficiently.

Please note:

Due to pressures on the supply chain, Forticrete has modified the raw material composition in their SL8® roof tile range to maintain consistency in their production output. While Forticrete has tested to confirm that these changes have no impact on the product's overall performance, there may be minor differences in the visual appearance of the tile's surface finish.
Therefore, in line with their standard guidance, it is advised that tiles to be installed on a roof should be selected from a single manufacturing batch. Forticrete recommends that tiles are laid from the same batch and mixed from three pallets within that batch.
For this reason, Forticrete always endeavours to deliver orders from a single batch. It is the responsibility of the contractor and client to ensure stock is controlled and selected for installation with care to avoid significant variation due to the use of multiple tile batches.
Where an exact colour match is critical for your projects, customers are advised to request actual tile samples.
