Find out moreThis Forticrete plain concrete eaves tile is a durable and flexible option for domestic roofing repairs, refits and ground-up projects. Available in a range of popular colours, this inexpensive concrete tile platform offers plenty of versatility. Practical features also give this range a long and reliable service life, and a 60-year guarantee is offered by Forticrete.
Utilising hanging nibs designed for the best strength possible and shaped for improved air circulation between the tile and batten, this low-height concrete tile is a solid roofing option. Eave tiles make up the lowest row of tiles at the facia board to provide the double lap for the first row of full tiles and the topmost layer of ridges.
Plain tiles should be laid halfway across the width of the tiles below in a broken bond pattern with a maximum headlap of 65mm for roofing installation and a minimum headlap of 35mm for vertical tiling. For securing tiles, the recommended method involves using two aluminium nails, each measuring 38mm x 3.35mm. For roofing applications, the nails should be placed in every fifth course, while for vertical tiling, they are needed in every course. The nail holes are strategically positioned approximately 35mm below the tile's head and approximately 40mm inward from the side edges.
