Find out moreHardrow® Solos Concrete Roof Slates offer architectural properties similar to natural stone or slate tiles. Not only do they have extreme durability and mellow with age, but each slate is made with slight dimensional differences and a degree of camber. This subtle difference enhances the product's charm when laid.
What's more, the tiles combine two delicate blends of colour within the face mix on a through-coloured base. Combined with the colour changes within the slate, this helps to create a roof appearance far above its price tag.
When installing Hardrow® Solos Concrete Roof Tiles on a roof pitch below 40°, it is possible to hang the slates, depending on conditions, but seek advice from our team of roofing experts if you are uncertain. If you want to install above 40°, all slates should be nailed into the batten with two 38mm x 3.35mm aluminium nails (40mm x 4mm for 24 x 18 slates). The nail hole diameters are approximately 5mm, with the nail holes being approximately 50mm down from the heads of the slates and 50mm-100mm in from the side edges.
For spans up to 450mm, you will require battens sized 38mm x 25mm, while for wider spans from 450mm to 600mm, you will need 50mm x 25mm batten sizes.
