The FAKRO low pitch flashing has been manufactured to raise the angle of the roof window slightly on tiled roofs with pitches of 10 degrees or more. The FAKRO flashing helps to raise the roof window by up to 10 degrees, allowing a pitched roof window to be installed on a relatively flat roof which would otherwise not be suitable for a pitched roof window.
The low pitch flashing from FAKRO has been manufactured from aluminium, with a ridged profile which allows for malleability around the roof window and roof tiles. The flashing is then coated with polyester to add durability, before being finished in a brown grey shade (RAL 7022), which helps the flashing to blend in with most roof finishes.
The FAKRO low pitch flashing can be used on a number of different tiled roofs, but the flashing will vary slightly, depending on the type of tile being used on the roof.

FAKRO low pitch flashings are essential on low pitched roofs where you’re looking to install a pitched roof window. Without a low pitch flashing, a pitched roof window will not be installed correctly on a low pitched roof, because it enables the angle of installation to be increased by 10 degrees.
Flashings are also more generally used to create a tight connection between the roof window and the roof tiles, ensuring that the window is fitted accurately, creating a neat finish.
However, the FAKRO flashing is not just used for visual effect, the flashing is also used to protect the window from weather conditions, creating efficient rainwater drainage with the ridged design, and preventing water entry at the points where the window connects to the roof.
By installing FAKRO flashings on your tiled roof, you are eliminating the potential for water to penetrate the roof, which prevents damp, condensation and structural issues from occurring over time. FAKRO flashings also help to increase the lifespan of the roof and the standard roof window

Question:
Is the price for the flashing only or is the window included too?
Answer:
Just the flashing
Question:
Can this flashing be used with my existing 660 x 1180 ordinary Velux windows to raise their pitch? Is it suitable to use with Marley Mendip 12.5 concrete interlocking tiles with Onduline Low Line underlay sheets? Thank you.
Answer:
This will not work with a Velux window.
Question:
I need angle changing flashing for my low pitched roof. Would this Fakro kit be compatible with a roof window of another brand? I already have optilight roof windows and wonder if i could use them instead of ordering Fakro roof windows
Answer:
This Flashing is suitable for use with a low pitch but will only work with Fakro windows I am afraid, not other brands.
