This FAKRO flashing has been designed for a recessed Duet proSky conservation window installation on a tiled roof so that it can be positioned in line with the roof. This flashing is manufactured from aluminium to enable malleability and coated with polyester to increase durability with a black finish that colour matches with the windows.
As a vital component for your FAKRO window, this flashing is incredibly important however is often overlooked. Providing a secure connection between the roof tiles and the proSky Duet window, this flashing ensures an accurate fitting to create a neat finish. Providing protection from weather conditions with a ridged profile for efficient rainwater drainage, this FAKRO flashing inhibits water penetration into your roof and prevents condensation, damp and subsequential structural issues from occurring over time. This helps to increase the lifespan of your roof and roof window.
With a range of different tile types, this FAKRO flashing is available to vary slightly depending on the tile profile used on your roof. The flashing designed for deep profiled interlocking tiles up to 90mm thick includes but is not limited to Redland pantiles, Double Roman, Sandtoft Shire, Double Pantile and Forticrete Senator and Centurion tiles. For non-interlocking plain tiles with a maximum thickness of 16mm, the flashing is suitable for Redland Rosemary Clay, Forticrete, Redland, Marley Ashdowne and Acme plain tiles and more.
The Duet proSky FAKRO conservation window is taller than standard roof windows and has a centre pivot situated higher up to window frame. This is so that the window can open at a higher position to allow a greater head clearance. With a FAKRO proSky window and a second non-opening windowpane below within the same frame, the Duet proSky windows have been specially made for homes and buildings situated in conservation areas, complying with numerous planning restrictions where regular FAKRO roof windows would not pass the development stages.
