Find out moreThis FAKRO vertical triple flashing is a combination flashing that has been designed for situations where three FAKRO roof windows are installed together vertically on a tiled roof.
The FAKRO B1/3 vertical triple flashing is manufactured from aluminium, with some sections consisting of a ridged profile, which helps improve malleability around the roof tiles and roof windows. The flashing is then coated with polyester, which increases the lifespan of the flashing and the roof windows, before being finished in a brown grey (RAL 7022) shade, which blends in well with most roof coverings.
Flashings are an integral part of the installation of a FAKRO window, and although often disregarded, are incredibly important.
Flashings are used to create a tight connection between the roof window and the roof tiles, ensuring that the window is fitted accurately, creating a neat finish. The triple flashings tend to allow a distance of around 10cm between each window.
However, the FAKRO flashing is not just used for visual effect, the flashing is also used to protect the windows from weather conditions, creating efficient rainwater drainage with the ridged design, and preventing water entry at the points where the windows connect to the roof.
By installing FAKRO flashings on your tiled roof, you are eliminating the potential for water to penetrate the roof, which prevents damp, condensation and structural issues from occurring over time. FAKRO flashings also help to increase the lifespan of the roof and the standard roof windows.
