Find out moreQuick drying and ideal for various common building surfaces, this Black Jack 901 Black Bitumen Paint from Everbuild is a full-bodied, solvent-based bituminous paint. Once it dries, it creates a completely scentless and taint-free black film that provides coverage of 4 - 6m² per litre depending on the porosity of substrates and 11m² per litre on non-porous surfaces.
This paint is a highly effective solution for providing corrosion resistance, as well as waterproof and weatherproof protection. This coating is highly resistant to low concentrations of alkalis and acids and tolerates prolonged oxidation. Furthermore, it can be applied to an array of materials, such as iron, steel, lead, zinc, aluminium, asbestos-cement, concrete, stone, wood, felt, and brick.
Black Bitumen Paint is primarily used for protecting metal surfaces, such as corrugated iron sheets, fire escapes, stairways, ladders, storage tanks, gutters, downpipes, fences, railings, gates, and other similar structures. It is also implemented as a defensive layer for concrete structures, stone, brick, concrete screeds, and sand/cement surfaces, and for overcoating felt and wood materials.
Everbuild Black Bitumen Paint is ready for use and should not be thinned. Using a brush or spray, apply a minimum of two coats. The first should dry for two to four hours depending on weather conditions before the second is applied. Following application, tools can be cleaned by using white spirit. Any spills should be wiped away from surfaces before the bitumen paint sets.
