Find out moreBoasting depth and subtlety, this Staffordshire Blue tile with a Sandfaced finish offers the allure of a true blue clay colour. Its striking contrast against light stone and brickwork surpasses even the Blue Brindle and Dark Heather hues. Unlike surface-stained options, it embraces the traditional method of kiln atmosphere control, converting clay's iron content into stunning blue tones reminiscent of Staffordshire Blue bricks. Passed down through generations, this skilled process remains unique to the Dreadnought Factory. This tile offers a compelling alternative to natural slate, allowing for the incorporation of ornamental elements.
Dreadnought Tiles, a renowned British manufacturer established in Staffordshire have honed their craftsmanship for over two centuries, utilising locally sourced Etruria Marl Clay to create stunning clay roof tiles. Designed with a traditional single camber, this Premium Clay Roof Tile from Dreadnought boasts unparalleled strength and endurance.
The same clay is also used in the production of Staffordshire Blue Class A Engineering Bricks, exemplifying its durability. With a wide array of colours and finishes, ranging from captivating blues and brindles to warm browns and radiant reds, no artificial stains or coloured sands are used for a completely organic construction. The kiln atmosphere is carefully controlled, resulting in natural hues that permeate each tile with subtle variations. This inherent quality adds a distinct charm, elevating the aesthetics of any roof.
