Find out moreYou can complete a variety of aesthetics with this Premium Clay Eaves Roof Tile by installing it along the lowest row of tiles on your roof. For more than two hundred years, Dreadnought Tiles, an esteemed British manufacturer situated in Staffordshire, has perfected their craftsmanship. They have meticulously honed their skills using locally sourced Etruria Marl Clay, which produces durable and strong clay roof tiles.
This very same clay is utilised in the creation of Staffordshire Blue Class A Engineering Bricks, showcasing its exceptional resilience. With an array of colours and finishes to choose from, including enchanting blues, brindles, browns and vibrant reds, no artificial stains or coloured sands are incorporated, ensuring a completely natural construction. The kiln environment is carefully regulated, resulting in organic tones that permeate each tile with nuanced variations. This inherent characteristic imparts a unique allure, enhancing the visual appeal of any roof.
During the late 1800s and early 1900s, deep crimson smooth-faced machine-made plain clay roof tiles gained significant popularity for prominent civic structures and churches. Nowadays, the majority of red plain clay roof tiles have a pinkish hue compared to those manufactured a century ago. However, this traditional single camber clay tile with a Plum Red colour and Smooth-faced finish perfectly mimics the shade and texture of the classic tiles from the past.
