They have meticulously honed their skills using locally sourced Etruria Marl Clay, which produces durable and strong clay roof tiles.
This very same clay is utilised in the creation of Staffordshire Blue Class A Engineering Bricks, showcasing its exceptional resilience. With an array of colours and finishes to choose from, including enchanting blues, brindles, browns and vibrant reds, no artificial stains or coloured sands are incorporated, ensuring a completely natural construction. The kiln environment is carefully regulated, resulting in organic tones that permeate each tile with nuanced variations. During the late 1800s and early 1900s, deep crimson smooth-faced machine-made plain clay roof tiles gained significant popularity for prominent civic structures and churches.
