Please ensure that the surface is clean before applying the product. Remove any laitance, grease, oil, dust, or other contaminants. For robust surfaces, use a power washer with a minimum of 2000 PSI for optimal preparation. You will need gloves, a mixing bucket, a paddle mixer, a paintbrush, a roller, a mixing stick, and tape for a seamless application process.
Begin by taping off and priming the prepared surface with the specially formulated LRS RapidRoof Primer. Applied by brush or roller at a nominal rate of 1kg per 3-4m², the primer cures in approximately 20 minutes, depending on temperature conditions.
The Crack and Joint Filler components - base, catalyst, and aggregate - form a dynamic trio. Thoroughly mix the base and catalyst components before gradually introducing the aggregate. A low-speed drill stirrer will make this process a lot easier and ensure a consistent mix. You can then apply the mix using the trowelling method, ensuring good compaction and a tight finish. Avoid feather-edging and remove the surrounding tape before the filler fully cures. For exceptional results, allow a minimum cure time of 1 hour at 20°C before foot traffic and 2 hours at 20°C before full traffic.
