This Cwt Y Bugail County Grade Welsh Slate Roof Tile in Blue/Grey benefits from Welsh slate's highly practical properties. Both durable and resistant to acids, alkalis and other chemicals, it is long-lasting and able to maintain its natural colour regardless of exposure to UV light.

Unchanged by regular extremes of temperature and impervious to water, Welsh slate comes from Penrhyn, Ffestiniog and Cwt-y-Bugail quarries and easily tolerates various environmental conditions. It also offers over a 100-year lifespan.

When in use, this slate involves a very low number of breakages and minimal on-site grading. Welsh roofing slates are typically removed from their application following the 100-year mark, when the timbers have failed, and they are then re-used.

Please note:

  • Our slates are usually delivered on a Six Wheeled Lorry (11m Long & 2.4m Wide) with a Tail-Lift facility to offload on solid, level ground with a Pump Truck. Non-compliance with delivery restrictions can result in extra delivery charges. Should you specifically require a crane or small vehicle offload, please notify us at the time you place your order, as an additional charge may be incurred.
  • Please allow 5% extra in the ordered quantity to cover acceptable breakage in transporting natural slate products.
