Find out moreThis Cwt Y Bugail County Grade Welsh Slate Roof Tile in Blue/Grey benefits from Welsh slate's highly practical properties. Both durable and resistant to acids, alkalis and other chemicals, it is long-lasting and able to maintain its natural colour regardless of exposure to UV light.
Unchanged by regular extremes of temperature and impervious to water, Welsh slate comes from Penrhyn, Ffestiniog and Cwt-y-Bugail quarries and easily tolerates various environmental conditions. It also offers over a 100-year lifespan.
When in use, this slate involves a very low number of breakages and minimal on-site grading. Welsh roofing slates are typically removed from their application following the 100-year mark, when the timbers have failed, and they are then re-used.
