Find out moreA bituminous solution for overall waterproofing of roofs which can be applied to dry surfaces all year round.
For the waterproofing of most types of surfaces to include galvanized steel, iron, lead, zinc, asbestos cement, asphalt and bituminous roof coatings.
Moderate surface cracking to felt and asphalt surfaces may be filled with Trowel Mastic.
Badly cracked surfaces should be covered with a layer of roofing felt bedded in Roofing Felt Adhesive.
Application
Stir the container thoroughly before use.
Allweather Roofing Compound may be applied by brush.
Do not apply in wet weather or when poor drying conditions exist.
Do not coat rooflights, windows, glass or translucent sheets as they will constitute a hidden hazard.
Apply two coats of Allweather Roofing at a rate of 1-1.5m2 per litre allowing the first coat to dry before application of the second coat.
On overlaps of roofing sheet materials and slates subject to flexing, a glass membrane treatment bridging overlaps is recommended.
The membrane should be bedded into the first coat of Allweather Roofing Compound whilst it is still wet.

Question:
I have a asbestos cement garage roof 16 sheets which is porous in plases, what is the best product for weather proofing it and what is the coverage of the 25 kg tin thanks?
Answer:
This compound would be suitable for painting over it and the coverage is approx 1-1.5m² per kg of material.
Question:
Hi, can you please tell me if this stuff has a long shelf life (unopened) and once opened will it keep? I bought a 25k tin about 5 years ago, didn't use it and just found it in a shed. Thanks.
Answer:
Cromar's technical team advise the shelf life of this material is about 6-12 Months, so if 5 years old it would not be suitable to use I am afraid.
