Can these be cut to length? I have an old lean to I want to re-roof that i sonly 2m wide, so can I buy the 6m lengths, cut them into three and buy additional end caps?

Answer:

You can only cut it down, you would not be able to get 3 bars from one unit as the end caps will not fit. You would need to buy 3 x 3m and cut them down

This Glazing bars is also suitable for use with the 10mm sheets.

Do the Clear Cut Length meet up in the bar or is there a gap between the sheets. E.g. The width is 2700mm I'm using 3 bars. Will the overall width still be 2700mm or do I have to add 10/20mm per bar?

Answer:

The glazing bars have a 10mm wide channel down the middle of them so you can take a little off the sheets to compensate, or they can always be trimmed slightly on site if needs be.

HOW WIDE IS THE PRODUCT ie I INTEND TO USE 45MM WIDE RAFTERS THANKS

Answer:

The base of the glazing bar is 42mm wide so will be fine to use on your 45mm rafters.

How do you fasten bars to purlins/rafters?

Answer:

You need to drill holes in the aluminium base to fix through onto the rafters.

my roof is 8mts long can the sheets be jointed end on, is there jointing strip.

Answer:

I am afraid there is not a jointing strip to join end on and the max length of the sheets is 6m, apologies.

Hi, is it possible to get a small sample (5 cm?) to check if it will fit on existing roof joists ? Also, can one purchase the cap part on its own without the base ? I think we already have these bases but most of the caps have warped or broken.

No, sorry. We do not offer any accessories for solid polycarbonate sheets.
