Britannia Aquashield High Build Waterproof Roof Coating is available in 5kg and 20kg tins in three colours: black, grey and solar reflective white. This 5kg tin will cover at least 2m2 depending on the substrate.
Suitable for general maintenance, but not for heavy foot traffic areas, this solvent-based waterproof roof coating is applied with a brush or a squeegee on a range of substrates. Most of these substrates don’t need priming and you will just need to clean of moss, lichen and debris before you begin applying the coat. Don’t worry about small gaps or cracks either as fibres in this Britannia paint lace together to cover these.
Please note: The full drying time of this product is 6-7 days depending on the outdoor temperature and the thickness of the coating. Rain will have no adverse effect on this drying period.
Suitable substrates for this product are:
This product should not be painted on to walkways, timber surfaces, new or aged PVC, plasticized PVC or balconies. It should not be used internally.
This tin is 5kg and in the colour solar reflective white.
Question:
Could I use this on a motorhome roof?
Answer:
It would depend on the suface of the roof, this would go onto most surfaces but if it is hard/shiny you would need to scuff/key it up first to help it bond.
Question:
Can it be applied on a roof with polycarbonate? it does not matter that the surface is no longer translucent and remains white. by the way with the waterproofing also reduces the heat radiated by polycarbonate, is this correct?
Answer:
Yes you could apply this onto Polycarbonate, the white coating will help reflect the sun.
