Does this do the same job as flashing tape, sealing the top edge of the roof against the wall

If you are using the Self Supporting Polycarbonate System Wall Plate (3.0m) You DO NOT need to seal it with flashing tape as it's designed to work without it.

The wall plate does not have an end cap to cover the exposed edge I am afraid.
